The best female and male archers in Italy will compete in Chioggia. In fact, the lagoon city will host, from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September, the tenth edition of the <a href="https://www.archysport.com/2022/02/archery-competition-in-bosco-nordio/” title=”Archery competition in Bosco Nordio”>FIDASC individual championship, organized by the local Arcieri del Mare sports association: the venue for the competition will be the Bosco Nordio in Sant’Anna, the largest green lung in the area and valuable nature reserve.
A year ago, on the occasion of the ninth national championship in Castiglione della Pescaia, the Chioggiotto association received the baton to set up the next edition, after ascertaining the necessary requirements. «There have been twelve months of intense preparations – say the Arcieri del Mare – from the search for sponsors to the accommodation of the approximately three hundred participating athletes, and their numerous companions».
The event, sponsored by the Municipality of Chioggia, will begin with the accreditation of participants at the Borgo San Giovanni sports hall; the competitions will instead be held on the mornings of Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September, within the two fields set up for the “hunting and shooting” and “Hunter” mode competitions, where the Arcieri del Mare company has been operating for almost twenty-five years with a school field and a training ground.
The age classes are: Cadets up to 14 years old, Juniors between 14 and 18, Man and Woman for adult archers. During the competitions, some pitches will be set up for the public, so as to allow them to follow some competitive phases. The Arcieri del Mare sports association will also be available to anyone wishing to try archery, thanks to some federal instructors in a dedicated shooting range, with all the equipment necessary to discover this fascinating, complete and practicable discipline. for all ages, capable of engaging the body and mind, as well as taking place in full contact with nature.
