Last Saturday 12 October, the Judo Kodokan Cuneo organized an afternoon dedicated to “circuits in the gym“, an afternoon to encourage cohesion between young judokas in a healthy and protected environment. This event saw the participation of children and young people aged between 4 and 12, divided into groups who faced different challenges and paths interior of the gym.

The initiative was designed to improve various physical and motor skills of the participants, such as balance, coordination and agility. The instructors have expertly exploited every available corner, arranging equipment such as hoops, mattresses, wall bars and ropes to create stimulating and fun routes.

One of the instructors, Federicocommented: “… we did circuits this afternoon, using all the spaces in the gym in a different way than usual. It has been helpful in improving skills such as balance, coordination and agility. Through the challenges proposed, both against their classmates and against the difficulties of the gym, the children were able to expand their motor skills.”

The soft structure of the tatami allowed participants to experiment and overcome their limits without the risk of getting hurt. This helped create a safe and encouraging learning environment, where everyone was able to give their best.

We did two different routes, using some of all the available equipment. In the first route, everyone worked on their own, while in the second there were stations to be done in pairs, focused on reactivity and speed. The children had great fun and worked well together” conclude Federico.

The afternoon with the boys was a great success, not only for the physical objectives achieved, but above all for the sense of belonging and team that he was able to create among the young athletes.
