NIJKERK Veensche Boys achieved full victory in the match against DOS Kampen by putting the 2-1 on the scoreboard in the penultimate minute of regular playing time.

Considering the game pattern in the second half, this was completely justified. Veensche Boys is now in the top 5 of the First Division. Veensche Boys initially started the match nervously. There were teases here and there, but the final pass was lacking. On the other hand, DOS Kampen ruled with the best chances. A goal-ready opportunity ended up on the goal post and the Kampen team’s chances narrowly missed out.

Ultimately we managed to take the lead. Ayoub Ben Ali Ahlaq was able to shoot from close range and managed to outwit the Veensche Boys goallie. After the break, DOS Kampen’s attacking game appeared to have become unrecognizable. They barely crossed the halfway line and it was Veensche Boys that had one chance after another, but Tom van Donselaar in particular was not happy with the finish. Just when Nico van den Brom was substituted and his captaincy was taken over by Bas van de Grootevheen, Bas managed to score the deserved equalizer (1-1) with his first ball contact as captain.

Veensche Boys did everything they could to keep the win in Nijkerkerveen and it was only secured a minute before the end of the match. Edged offside, striker Corné Parol was able to free himself from the opponent and shoot diagonally. Final score 2-1. There will be no play next week, but then the cracker against SDC Putten will follow.
