Morelia, Michoacán, October 20, 2024.- Within the framework of the national Judo tournament, Professor Daniel F. Hernández 2024, the DIF Michoacán System, headed by the honorary president of the Board of Trustees, Grisel Tello Pimentel, announced that, the The state will host the fourth edition of the 2024 Judo Novice Cup, to be held on November 23 and 24, in Morelia.

“Having the presence of the multi-medal Paralympic judoka, Lenia Rubalcava in the national judo tournament, is an example of the high competitive level that Michoacan judokas have and the infrastructure to develop high-end sports tournaments,” said the general director of the System. DIF Michoacán, Óscar Celis Silva.

For her part, the multi-medal Paralympic judoka, Lenia Rubalcava, highlighted the interest of the DIF Michoacán System in instilling sport in girls, boys and adolescents in residential care.

«I am very excited to be in Michoacán and know that judo has the support of the State Government through its institutions, I see it in the development of this national tournament, in addition, to the Mexican Judo Federation and the other associations of judo players from Mexico who gathered at this great event, we are excited to have this type of facilities with all the services so that athletes can experience a true sporting festival,” said Lenia Rubalcava.

In the coming days, the Michoacán DIF System, the State Commission of Physical Culture and Sports (Cecufid), as well as the Executive Secretariat and the Michoacán AC Judo Association, will announce the site where the fourth edition of the Judo Cup will be held. Judo Rookies 2024.
