Sunday (20) was not just about the Copa do Brasil.

Youth 🆚 Palmeiras was the duel that ended the 30th round of the Brasileirão.

Entitled to EIGHT GOALS at Alfredo Jaconi.

And GREAT performances from record holders Estêvão and Veiga.

Palmeiras’ victory left Abel Ferreira’s team ONE POINT behind leader Botafogo.

After reaching the tenth round of invincibility.

And it kept the Serra Gaúcha team in the mix of those threatened with relegation.

Watch the video with the best moments below.

There was plenty of emotion in the first half.

And Estêvão’s talent made all the difference.

First, he received a precise pass from Felipe Anderson to open the scoring (22′).

It was the 17-year-old’s TENTH goal in the Brasileirão.

Estêvão still has eight assists. Now he is the record holder for direct participation in goals in a Brasileirão this century.

Neymar, in BR 2009, was the leader in this category with 16.

Juventude did not feel the blow. He saw Jadson hit the post before Danilo Boza equalized (35′).

Palmeiras would go into the break ahead thanks to the combination of Estêvão and Veiga, who scored (44′).

The insistence of the attacks contrasted with fragile defensive systems.

Papo equalized with Ronaldo (49′) after the Palmeiras defense failed to find its footing.

The reaction soon followed, with Veiga taking to the net once again.

Richard Ríos did his own, taking a free kick that was deflected off Boza (63′).

Jair Ventura’s men didn’t give up thanks to Edson Carioca’s beautiful goal (67′).

It was attack versus defense. But the greatest competence was that of the deputy leader.

Then Palmeiras got there again after Veiga took advantage of a rival slip to reach his hat-trick (90′).

The first for a player in the current edition of the Brazilian Championship.

Who started to have his game with more goals.

Verdão now has the most positive attack (51 goals, surpassing Botafogo’s 48).

And he increased his balance, which was already the best and now stands at 28 positive goals.
