In less than a month, American Jake Paul will have the fight of his life. The self-confident hornbill will face the legendary Mike Tyson in a boxing duel in mid-November. Time is running out, there isn’t much left until match day, so both participants adjust their form, step on the pedals. Which of them is better off now? Paul himself believes that he is the one, as evidenced by his cannonball, which sent one of his sparring partners to the ground during training.
According to the original plans, the Americans’ duel should have been a thing of the past. It was supposed to take place this summer, but due to Tyson’s health problems, it was postponed to November.
This move was the final, turning point for many. Fans took this move as an indication that Tyson should no longer box at the age of fifty-eight, but the legend’s form suggests otherwise.
Iron Mike delivers incredibly hard and powerful blows in training. Tyson does not have the hands of a mortal, because he has ready-made cannons, which, at least in the published footage, command respect.
Paul himself had fared worse so far. His training on the nets did not inspire respect, rather the opposite. The fans laughed at the twenty-seven-year-old hornbill, pointing fingers at him. “Looks like Jake is training with a drunk uncle. His moves are so uncoordinated,” fans wrote under one workout Paul showed off on Instagram recently.
He didn’t get respect from the fans, that’s why he put it under the boiler. He stepped on the gas to the floor. On the nets, he boasted about another training session, and it was already more emphatic.
The training partner attacked Paul, lunged forward, and ended up on his knees. Paul pulled out a sharp right hand from his arsenal, which sent the taller opponent to his knees. Paul, whose confidence was boosted by this attack, immediately sent a message to Tyson as well. “Don’t try to attack me,” he said directly to the camera. His words were clear: “Or you’ll end up the same,” was the warning. “Write down your notes,” Paul subsequently urged his rival, who is thirty-one years older than him, in the caption.
In training, Paul impressed, although it should be noted that his training partner lacked the movement that graces Tyson.
