L’AS Banvou (Orne) was represented by eight archers, one participation record Banoïciennes for a national event. The archers achieved very good results.
The title for Matthew Leblanc
For his first participation in a national competition, Matthew Leblanc won the U18 compound archery title. The young Banoï member for three seasons has thus achieved his first major feat of arms after having acquired departmental and regional podiums indoors and TAE in 2024.
Only two young U18COs out of 95 listed at the FFTA managed to pass the qualifying floor to participate in this French Beursault championship, which allowed Matthew to achieve a Homeric duel at a distance with his counterpart opponent by beating him by five points.
The member of the young departmental collective ends his season of the most beautiful way before moving to U21HCO next year.
Sarah Mahaux vice-champion
Following in the footsteps of her older brother (Nathan Mahaux, Beursault national champion in 2022), Sarah Mahaux, accustomed to departmental and regional podiums, achieved a almost perfect competition.
The young archer who has been licensed for 3 years at the local club was able to respond to the best of times by achieving her best score of her season during these championships (40 honors and 101 points), which allows her to climb to the second step of the podium.
For its first year in U15FCL, this result shows good prospects for his next year in the same category.
A 2nd place for Kyra Leblanc
For her first French championships, Kyra Leblanc rose to 4th place in her category in U15FCL with a score of 40 honors and 87 points, his best mark of the season.
At the foot of the national podium, the young Banoïcienne was able to console herself by climbing onto the second step of the U15 podium combined with the best arrow shot of the season du Bouquet 2024 (qualifying competition for this French championship).
The goal is to put your arrow as close as possible from the center (black) of the target.
