Football Manager 25 delayed by several months

Sega and Sports Interactive have brought difficult news for fans of the Football Manager series. The next title has been delayed until March 2025.

In a surprising move, Football Manager 25 has been delayed less than two months before its official release. The game was scheduled to hit all the usual platforms on November 26th, but was delayed by 4 months.

The new release date does not have a specific day, but has a month: March 2025. This means that the game that puts us in the role of a football coach and manager will come close to the end of the European leagues. For context, the final round of Liga Portugal will be played in the second week of May, less than 2 months after the game’s release.

According to the statement issued by Sports Interactive, the decision was not easy, but the game needed more time to “fulfill player expectations”. They felt the November launch was being done “hastily” and needed more time.

They also remember that FM25 will have the biggest technical and visual leap in the series to date, so the challenges were greater than usual. A new gameplay video is expected to arrive at the end of January 2025.

Due to the delay, those who pre-booked can request a full refund, or keep it, counting towards the new launch date.
