First joy of the season for the Angri Femminile, which beats Bisedetech Rende 67-58 at the PalaGalvani. After an uncertain first half, coach Michele Morra’s girls put the turbo into action in the second half.
The 14 points scored by a wild Tolardo were fundamental. Double figures also for Carcaterra and Kazantseva with 12 points.
Ambrosio and Codispoti pierce the Angrese retina (2-5). Pragliola and Tolardo respond promptly (6-5). Rende seems to start with a better attitude and finds other baskets with Manfrè and Codispoti (6-9). Manna and Kazantseva play the charge and put the teams back in the lead (13-11). Once again the Calabrians react with Ambrosio and Manrè, who score an 8-0 break (13-19). Manna’s free throws stop the score at 15-19. In the second period, Rende always holds the momentum, with Codispoti scoring the 20-25. Sapienza and Manna keep the hosts in contact (24-27). And it always is
the latter to score the free throw to equalize the score at 27. It breaks the defense again, but Capriati’s bomb at the siren sends the game to halftime at 30-31.

Angri starts off well, with the three-point game scored by Kazantseva (33-31). This time the guests found it difficult, with the grey-reds keeping their distance with Tolardo (42-37). The local defense closes well and on the other side it is once again the Apulian winger who scores the triple for 45-37. Falino, again from 6.75, burns the retina for +11 (48-37). Tolardo scores again from the arc, but on the last action Codispoti scores -8 (51-43) with which we go to the final break. The fourth quarter sees Manfre cancel a new achievement by Tolardo (53-45). The guests are not willing and get closer with Gagliardi’s three-pointer (53-48). Carcaterra sent the Calabrians back with two bombs for 61-50. Finally, Capriati and Kazantseva close the score for the first victory of the season.
