Victorious in the Bressuire tournament last week, <a href="https://www.archysport.com/2024/04/embracing-success-louanne-reveillons-journey-to-fifth-place-in-french-cadet-judo-championships/" title="Embracing Success: Louanne Réveillon's Journey to Fifth Place in French Cadet Judo Championships”>Louanne Réveillon, from the Judo Club Vallée du Clain, is slowly gaining momentum. Indeed, this weekend, she finished second in the under 57 kg category of the Excellence label cadet tournament in Clermont-Ferrand. A solid performance for someone who was only participating in her second competition of the year.

Fifth in the 2024 French cadet championships, this fighter who is only in her second year (there are three in this age category) is one of the favorites for the podium in the national championship which will take place at the end of March 2025.

“Louanne is at the top of the basket”

Technical advisor to the department and club teacher, Willy Dubois looks back on his protégé’s day. “I am obviously satisfied with the result. However, the sensations were not there, with small joint problems and a wait before starting. Which means that Louanne never knew how to find her rhythm, the one she had the previous week to win the Bressuire tournament. At a higher level, this Clermont-Ferrand tournament allowed us to discover the girls she will meet throughout the season, including for the title. Louanne is among the top of the basket even if she ends her day with a defeat. »

The day before, among the juniors, Souad Meunier finished in fourth place in the over 78 kg category. A competition whose result did not live up to the expectations of its teacher, Ludovic Douteau, but which still proved useful since it allowed Poitevine to prepare one last time before its participation in the championships of France 1re senior division which will be held in two weeks in Chalon-sur-Saône.
