SARZANO – Last August 31st, in the splendid setting of shooting range in Sarzano, took place there third edition of the City of Rovigo Trophy, Archery competition at a distance of 18 meters open, a competition valid for the qualifications for the next Regional and National Championships for the various Classes at this shooting distance.
The race, organized by Asd Rovigo Archers Company, saw the participation of more than that 60 athletes representing sixteen Arcieris companiesofthat of the Triveneto and beyond.
The colors of the Rovigo club shone with the first place obtained by the very young girl Alice Redi, class of 2014, in the Arco Olimpico specialty, very young women’s class and first place Giulia Dall’Ara in the Junior Female Nude Bow specialty.
With this race the competitive season began at the distance of 18 meters open and indoor which will see the athletes of the Asd Compagnia Arcieri Rovigo competing in various events to gain qualification for the regional championships and, subsequently, for the prestigious Italian championships which will take place next January .
The Rovigo Archers Company has been active since 1980 and boasts in its carnet two national titles, an Italian record in the 25 + 18 meter specialty and countless places of honor in national championships and international events, wearing the jersey of the Italian National Shooting Team.
The present sees the Board of Directors and the Technical Sector of the archery club engaged in an ambitious project which concerns above all the youth sector: already today the Compagnia Arcieri Rovigo organizes basic shooting courses, intermediate level courses and advanced coursesof for starting up ifttcompetitive hoursfor all ages; the new project involves the creation of a real Cwithin Sportivo, dedicated to Archery, a “Shooting Academy”, with equipped shooting ranges and the possibility of hosting young athletes also coming from other companies for stages and dedicated training courses.
This is a very ambitious project that requires considerable resources, not only economic, and a lot of determination and which, one step at a time, the Rovigo company is trying to get off the ground.
