After the dismissal of coach Peter Zeidler, the Bundesliga soccer team VfL Bochum is apparently initially relying on an internal solution. As the “WAZ” and Sky Sport report, the previous one should Assistant coach Markus Feldhoff will take over the team with Murat Ural on an interim basis and the home game on Sunday (3:30 p.m./DAZN and in the ntv.de live ticker) prepare against the German record champions Bayern Munich. The official announcement should therefore take place today.
VfL parted ways with Zeidler and sporting director Marc Lettau on Sunday evening following the defeat in the basement duel at TSG Hoffenheim (1:3). Bochum is at the bottom of the table with just one point after seven league games. After the game against Bayern, games against Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayer Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart await.
The 50-year-old Feldhoff is since 2023 as assistant coach working in Bochum. He had previously worked as head coach at VfL Osnabrück. Ural came to VfL in the summer as Zeidler’s assistant.
