Injury report Week 7

Weekly report of the most important injuries with Fantasy Football impact. The weekly injury report is very useful for Fantasy because it allows us to know the players who suffered an injury during the week, to know how serious it was and, most importantly, to be able to predict their availability for subsequent weeks.

Injuries are an issue that we must face, they happen every year and it is logical in a sport with so much contact. But don’t be discouraged by having injured players, that’s what the players you chose as substitutes are for and also the waivers, free agency and trades that will help you improve your team.

AIDAN O´CONNELL (QB, RAIDERS)

He left with a thumb injury (fracture) in the game against the Rams. He was placed on IR and will be out for at least four weeks. In his absence, Gardner Minshew will assume the primary QB role for the Raiders.

BRANDON AIYUK (WR, 49ERS)

He was forced out of the game against the Chiefs with a knee injury. Coach Kyle Shanahan said he is concerned about a possible torn ACL. He will undergo further tests to find out the severity of the injury. He may miss the rest of the season.

DAVID MONTGOMERY (RB, LIONS)

He briefly left the game against the Vikings with a knee injury. He was able to return to the game. He finished with 9 carries for 31 yards and 3 receptions for 39 yards. Coach Campbell declared that everything is fine with Montgomery’s knee.

DEEBO SAMUEL (WR, 49ERS)

He was apparently dealing with an illness and had to leave the game against the Chiefs. The illness was not revealed by the team.

DESHAUN WATSON (QB, BROWNS)

He suffered an Achilles tendon injury (torn) in the game against the Bengals. He is out for the rest of the season. Jameis Winston is likely to be the Browns’ starting QB.

DK METCALF (WR, SEAHAWKS)

He left the game against the Falcons with a knee injury. Coach Mike Mcdonald commented that the injury does not seem serious. The injury will have to be monitored.

DORIAN THOMPSON-ROBINSON (QB, BROWNS)

He suffered a finger injury after covering for QB Desahaun Watson.

JAYDEN DANIELS (QB, COMMANDERS)

He was forced out in the game against the Panthers with a rib injury. Coach Dan Quinn said it’s a week-to-week consideration. In his eventual absence, Marcus Mariota will be the QB1 for the Commanders.

JUJU SMITH -SCHUSTER (WR, CHIEFS)

He left with a hamstring injury in the game against the 49ers. Coach Andy Reed commented that he will be out for the Week 8 game. Without Juju, Xavier Worthy, Mecole Harman, Travis Kelce and Noah Gray will have more targets.

SPENCER RATTLER (QB, SAINTS)

He suffered a hip injury that forced him out of the game against the Broncos. It seems to be nothing serious. Coach Dennis Allen said he will be the starting QB if Derek Carr remains out with his oblique injury.

TYLER HUNTLEY (QB, DOLPHINS)

In the third quarter of the game against the Colts he suffered a shoulder injury. Coach Mike McDaniel commented that it is still too early to determine the severity of the injury. If Tyler and Tua Tagovailoa do not play in Week 8 Tim Boyle will be the backup QB.
