Atletico Alexandria won the team competition of the sixth edition of the Giovanni Maganetti judo memorial trophy.
The competition, organized with professionalism and precision by Sankaku judo Como, dedicated to the founder of the Como company, was hosted in the building in via Serenza in Capiago Intimiano.
«We are satisfied with the positive response with over 360 registered in all categories – explains maestro Cristoforo Maganetti -. The companies arrived from all over Northern Italy.”
As always, the presence of associations from the province is important. The highlight was the mixed team competition, reserved for the Boys category (2013 and 2014), ennobled by the presence of the battleship Akyama Settimo Torinese, great favorite for the final victory.
However, the prediction was subverted thanks to Atletico Alexandria who won the Piedmont derby against Akyama. Maya Martino, Romina Martino, Haron Ben Mokhatar, Ainoha Maldonado, Alexandra Chibea and Alex Zaporojanu took the top step of the podium.
The Alessandria club also collected gold medals (nine) in the individual tests for the Boys, Children and Children categories which enlivened the long day in the Capiaghese arena.
Returning to the team competition, worth mentioning is the excellent third place achieved by the Como company Kimeru Academy Faloppio. The other bronze ended up in the hands of Busen Arconate.
The award was given by the president of Sankaku Como, Elena Marzorati, satisfied with an edition of the memorial, exciting and always followed, in the grandstand of the building, by a good number of enthusiasts.
