The coaching staff had a list of 15 players who will gather starting October 27 at CeNARD. The South American U15 will be played from November 6 to 10 in Barquisimeto, Venezuela.
It is the last international competition for the training categories, a sports calendar with great historical achievements for the country and for the branch. Starting on October 27, the U15 Women’s National Pre-selection will begin their training period at CeNARD ahead of the South American Championship. The list contains the names of Melina Milardovich, Florencia Losada, Sofía Massa, Renata Canepa, Isabella Roldán, Francisca Canello Novelli, Kiara Miro Morra, Lourdes Castro Ibarra, Sofía Rosso, Guadalupe Navarro, Santina Cherot Magri, Venetia Io Delfio, Oliva Delfio , Juana Montivero and by Malena Asprella Chacon.
Of the 15 chosen, 14 shared an essential training stage in the three Development Campuses organized by the Confederation since the beginning of the year. They focused on individual progress and an improvement in the fundamentals of the game, as well as promoting the values of camaraderie and solidarity in a permanent training environment.
CAB’s professional staff is made up of Daiana Di Benedetto as head coach, while Mauro Polla and María Fernanda Joannas will be her assistants. Patricio Verón will be the physical trainer, while Mariano Marcos (Training Coordinator) will be in charge of concentrating and planning the activities.
The competition format regrouped the eight countries into two zones of four, with the National Team being part of Group B along with Brazil, Uruguay and Ecuador. The other competitors are Bolivia, Chile, Colombia and the host. After a first phase of three games and with a round-robin system, the best two in each group will advance to the semifinals. The rest will play for reclassification from fifth to eighth place.
The group will try to revalidate the title obtained two years ago in the South American Championship in Santiago de Chile, in a perfect participation with five uninterrupted victories and without giving up prominence in their presentations. The current edition will provide three places for next year’s AmeriCup U16.
