André Ramalho, from Corinthians, complained about Rossi’s wax
Flamengo was outraged by Anderson Daronco’s refereeing after the goalless draw with Corinthianson Sunday (20), in the semi-final of the Copa do Brasil. On the eliminated side, there were also complaints. Defender André Ramalho stated that the referee ‘chopped’ the match held at the Neo Química Arena. Furthermore, the player criticized the waxing of red-black goalkeeper Agustín Rossi.
— One of the things that I emphasize is that the goalkeeper who is stalling for time, if the referee gives a quick yellow card, that stops. But the yellow didn’t even happen. I’m not going to say that he compromised the result, he has to be self-critical that he could have scored the goal. But this situation does not contribute not only to us but also to the show as a whole. — said André Ramalho, in the mixed area of Neo Química Arena.
— I don’t like to argue, but I always ask the referees to let the game play out. This adds to the spectacle, for the athlete. Since the referee doesn’t whistle for simple fouls, we start to have this perception and stop holding back and falling. When it’s the opposite, it turns into a party, it can’t happen. Unfortunately this happened today. I’m not going to go into that, I think there was a lot of unnecessary foul whistled, it tied up the game and ended up helping Flamengo, it was the moment they had one less and needed to rest, tie up the game — added the defender.
