Judo Club Nozomi
On Saturday, October 19, 2024 in the morning, the Ontinyent Judo Cup, the 1st day of the Judo Cup Circuit of the Valencian Federation 2024/2025, was held at the Ontinyent Municipal Sports Center (Valencia), where this year As a novelty, only teams from the Valencian Community participate as this year they are part of the Jocs Esportius of the Valencian Community, with some 400 judokas participating from the Benjamin to Absolute categories.
The Nozomi Judo Club of Torrevieja participated with 18 judokas, 12 of them fighting for the medals and competing in a total of 7 finals, finally achieving 9 medals ( 1 GOLD, 6 SILVER and 2 BRONZE) in addition to three 5th PLACESthree 7th places AND THREE 9th places.
Remember that this Cup Circuit of the Valencian Judo Federation is Promotion level, which means that all judokas who are Regional Champions, Regional medalists or medalists in Spanish Cups and Super Cups are prohibited from participating, in the case of Judo. Nozomi Club, more than a dozen of them cannot participate because they are elite athletes and medalists at the National and Regional level.

PLATA: LUKA KUTCHASHVILI, SABA BERIKASHVILI, ANDRIY TARABANCHUK, GABRIEL LLERENA, CARLA MARTÍNEZ y ZURIÑE VICENTE AMOR.
BRONZE: TOMA NEPARIDZE AND HECTOR FRAGAKIS VERA
5th PLACES: ANGEL LLERENA GARCÍA, ENZO BLANCO AND FERRAN PEÑAFIEL NAVASQUILLO
7th PLACES: SHOTICO MACHARATZE, MARIO FRAGAKIS VERA AND DIMYTRO NAZARKEVICH SELIVERSTOV
9th PLACES: DARIO ALMARCHA RUSO, SULEIMEN TUREKULOV Y MIKEL DE SOUSA MORO
CLAUDIA MORALES IMBERNON was carrying out her duties as referee throughout the day and her colleagues IKER SPOONER SÁNCHEZ and DANIEL GIMÉNEZ RUIZ as Timekeeper Judges.
The Nozomi Judo Club of Torrevieja congratulates its competitors and encourages them to continue working to improve at the beginning of the season. We also hope that the judokas of the Municipal Judo School of Torrevieja, managed this season by the Nozomi Judo Club of Torrevieja, prepare and are encouraged to participate in the next day of this Judo Cup circuit, which will take place in Sagunto on December 1, 2024.
