VIVA – One of the agreements in <a href="https://www.archysport.com/2022/01/about-egy-et-al-strengthen-the-indonesian-u23-national-team-pssi-contra-with-shin-tae-yong/" title="About Egy et al Strengthen the Indonesian U23 National Team, PSSI Contra with Shin Tae-yong”>Shin Tae-yong‘s new contract given by PSSI has been revealed.
Shin Tae-yong received a contract extension from PSSI until 2027. Shin’s performance with the Indonesian National Team had a positive impact.

The coach from South Korea has achieved a number of new achievements. Some of Shin’s achievements include advancing to the semifinals of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup to the 2024 Olympic playoffs and also qualifying for the third phase of the 2026 World Cup Qualifications.
This success resulted in Shin Tae-yong being rewarded with a new contract extension. In the contract there is also an agreement agreed upon by the former coach of the South Korean national team at the 2018 World Cup.

The agreement was that Shi Tae-yong had to watch League 1 matches to look for players who had the potential to strengthen the Indonesian national team.
“What is certain is that Mr. Erick Thohir, one of his requests is that Shin Tae-yong must come down and watch the game in League 1 2024/2025,” said PSSI Exco Member, Arya Sinulingga.

“Shin Tae-yong also has to communicate a lot with the coach. This is also part of an agreement between Mr. Erick Thohir and Shin Tae-yong,” said Arya Sinulingga.
Furthermore, Arya explained that this was aimed at ensuring that Shin Tae-yong’s communication with the coaches in League 1 2024/2025 ran smoothly.
“Mr Erick Thohir has asked Shin Tae-yong to make communication smoother with players and coaches at the club.”
“Shin Tae-yong can see it directly, not just from video recordings of the match,” said Arya Sinulingga.
