NFL Monday Night Double Header

NFL Monday Night Double Header

On the night from Monday to Tuesday there was a double header to end Week 7.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31:41 Baltimore Ravens

Tampa Bay got off to a better start and took the lead on its first drive. Baker Mayfield ran to Mike Evans for 25 yards for a touchdown. 7-0 Bucs.

The guests’ first attack achieved nothing. After an attack lasting over 6 minutes, Tampa Bay was able to add a field goal. Chase McLaughlin was successful from 23 yards. 10-0.

The Ravens’ next attack ended the first and opened the second quarter. Lamar Jackson found Mark Andrews for 9 yards, Ravens touchdown. Only 10:7. And now there was a very crucial game situation. On the next attack, Tampa Bay fought its way to the Ravens’ three and was close to the next touchdown. But Mayfield made an interception into the arms of Marlon Humphrey.

The Ravens didn’t have to wait long and on the next drive Lamar Jackson was able to serve Justice Hill for 18 yards for a touchdown. 2:10 p.m. Ravens. Tampa Bay was now completely out of control and in the next attack Baker Mayfield made the next interception and again it was Marlon Humphrey who secured the egg. This time, however, the Ravens could only make it a field goal. Justin Tucker from 28 yards. 17:10 Ravens. That was the halftime score.

The second half started with a field goal for the Ravens. Tucker from 52 yards to make it 20:10. Tampa Bay also got within field goal range, but Chase McLaughlin failed from 55 yards. The Ravens now have everything under control. Lamar Jackson for 49 yards to Rashod Bateman – TD! 27:10. Tampa Bay’s next attack was again unsuccessful. And the Ravens continued to extend their lead. Lamar Jackson for 4 yards on Mark Andrews touchdown! 34:10. Tampa Bay’s next attack yielded nothing again, but the Ravens’ next attack was also unsuccessful.

In fact, it was a little worse because Jackson fumbled the ball. Zyon McCollum recovered it. And suddenly Tampa Bay was back. Baker Mayfield found Rachaad White for 11 yards for a touchdown. And even trying to go for two worked. Only 18:34 left from the Bucs’ perspective. But the Ravens stayed calm and scored the next touchdown. Lamar Jackson to Derrick Henry for 13 yards. TD! 41:18.

Tampa Bay didn’t give up yet and actually got another touchdown, Bucky Irving ran into the end zone for one yard, but this time the attempt to go for two didn’t work. 41:24. But Tampa Bay actually managed to recover an on side kick. And they got another touchdown relatively quickly. Baker Mayfield to Rachaad White for 23 yards. Only 41:31 left. The Ravens were then able to be stopped relatively quickly, but Tampa Bay’s last attack yielded nothing.

A wild, entertaining game. Tampa Bay wasn’t much worse when you look at the numbers, but it made too many mistakes. Baker Mayfield is actually the perfect proof of this theory, he was 31 of 45 for 370 yards and three touchdowns, sounds great, but there are two interceptions. Cade Otton caught eight balls for 100 yards. Rachaad White caught 6 balls for 71 yards and two touchdowns. Antonie Winfried impressed defensively with 10 tackles and a sack.

The Ravens’ offense was once again really strong, but the defense is a concern. And then the question can be asked what would have happened if Tampa Bay had made fewer mistakes. Lamar Jackson was outstanding, going 17 of 22 for 281 yards and five touchdowns. But he might still be a little annoyed because he missed the perfect passer rating by exactly 0.2.

Derrick Henry had 15 carries for 169 yards. Rashod Bateman caught four balls for 121 yards and a touchdown. Roquan Smith impressed with 18 tackles and Marlon Humphrey had two interceptions.

Tampa Bay now has an important home game against Atlanta and the Ravens have to go to Cleveland.
