Orlando closes the renewal of Jalen Suggs for 150 million

The Orlando Magic have made a determined bet with Jalen Suggs. As reported by Shams Charania of ESPNplayer and franchise have agreed to a contract extension that is measured at $150 million.

This extension is the result of an arduous negotiation between Suggs’ representative, Darren Matsubara de Wasserman, and the directors of the Orlando organization, and they had been talking for days in the city of Florida to reach an understanding.

Although there were certain doubts about his worth when he started on the team, a third year of full performance served to convince the Magic. Beyond his averages, 12.6 points per night with 40 percent in triples, Suggs stood out as one of the best defenders in the NBA to enter the best defensive quintet of the season, something they had only previously achieved with Orlando Dwight Howard and Horace Grant.

Chosen as number 5 in the draft in 2021, Suggs thus joins Franz Wagner as players from that class who have signed multimillion-dollar deals with the Magic. Recall that the German agreed to five years and $224 million at the beginning of the summer.
