As reported by Shams Charania of ESPNthe forward has agreed to a four-year, $133 million extension with the Denver Nuggets, which can keep him on the team until June 2029.
To reach an understanding that has not been easy at all, the 29-year-old player accepts his salary of 23 million dollars for the 2025-26 season and adds another three years for the maximum salary that corresponds to him. In addition, the 2028-29 campaign will depend on a player option, so in 2028 he could renegotiate, accept such a clause or directly get out of his contract.
It was essential for Colorado to retain Gordon. Being one of the players who gave them the 2023 ring, it was unthinkable that they would let him leave after seeing Kentavious Caldwell-Pope leave in free agency, another really important piece.
