After the 4-0 defeat in the Franconian derby against 1. FC Nürnberg, Greuther Fürth draws rigorous conclusions. As ‘Bild’ reports, the second division team is parting ways with both coach Alexander Zorniger and sports director Rachid Azzouzi with immediate effect. An official confirmation from the club is still pending.

After nine second division matchdays, Fürth is in tenth place in the table with ten points. However, Zorniger’s team has been without a win for five match days. The 57-year-old has been the Franconian head coach since October 2022. Azzouzi has been the main squad planner since 2017.
