Alexis Hernández Peña, a young director originally from Iztapalapa, has managed to stand out internationally by winning the audience’s choice award at the Lift Off Global Network Sessions International Festival in England with his short film “Atrapado en el limbo”. This recognition adds to the previous achievements of his project, which was also awarded Best Independent Short Film at the Guadalajara International Film Awards Festival.

A story that reflects reality

“Trapped in Limbo” tells the story of a teenager who, getting carried away by his friends, attends a party where the consumption of alcohol and drugs triggers a series of events that endanger the lives of the characters. The plot delves into the consequences of bad decisions and the problems that many young people face in complicated environments.
