Tennis coach Severin Lüthi receives the special prize at the Swiss Olympic Coach Awards in Magglingen.
As a long-time coach and companion of Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka as well as captain of the Swiss Fed Cup and Davis Cup teams, the level-headed Thun native achieved worldwide fame and became a role model for many young coaches, writes the umbrella organization of Swiss sports in a statement. Lüthi has made a significant contribution to the success of Swiss tennis over the last 20 years.
Orienteering coach Sandra Lauenstein, beach volleyball coach Denis Milanez and wheelchair sports coach Marc Lutz were awarded the Swiss Olympic Coach Award 2024. All three of these personalities celebrated great successes with their athletes and shaped their sports.
Since 2012, Swiss Olympic has been honoring the commitment of young coaches with the Swiss Olympic Coach Awards.
