Record man Ohtani founded the “50-50 Club” on September 19th when his Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Miami Marlins 20-4. The 30-year-old and his team are now in the World Series, the final of Major League Baseball. The Dodgers will meet the New York Yankees there starting Friday.

Who owns the ball and therefore the money?

The auction was overshadowed by a previous legal dispute. After the ball landed on the left field bleachers, it fell into the hands of Christian Zacek, who initiated the auction.

However, two other fans, Max Matus and Joseph Davidov, subsequently filed separate lawsuits claiming they had possession of the ball before it was taken away from them. According to US media reports, the parties involved in the legal dispute agreed that the auction should continue.
