BarcelonaThe most iconic radio awards have revealed, this Sunday afternoon, the new crop of winners in their 71st edition. As Jaume Serra, delegate of Prisa in Catalonia – the group that promotes these awards and is the owner of Cadena Ser and Ràdio Barcelona – the jury has already decided who will be the 22 prize winners of this 24.

In the radio category, these categories are distinguished:

  • Best program: Sound fictionfrom RNE.
  • Best proximity program: Magazine Factoryd’EiTB i The memory windowfrom Ser Euskadi.
  • Best special programming: The sea, the wall of 3Cat i Kennedy’s assassination 60 years laterfrom Onda Cero.
  • Best Radio Idea: The idiots’ dinner (Laser)
  • Trajectory or best professional work: Àngels Barceló, for his 40-year career.
  • Best Podcast: The ruinby Ignasi Taltavull and Tomàs Fuentes.

In the radio advertising section, two prizes were awarded:

  • Best radio campaign: Supersecurity
  • Best radio agency: Pingüino Torreblanca

The TV waves have fallen to the following winners:

  • Best entertainment program: The revoltbut RTVE.
  • Best current affairs program or special coverage: the 11-M specials from RTVE, Euskal Telebista and La Sexta.
  • Best Proximity Content: Col·lapseof 3 Cat.
  • Great ben presenter: Isabel Jiménez (Telecinco) and Marta Reyero (Cuatro)
  • Best Comedy Series: This is not Sweden (RTVE i 3Cat)
  • Best drama series: The Messiah (Movistar+)
  • Best male performer in fiction: Alberto San Juan (for Cristobal Balenciaga, a Disney+)
  • Best female performer in fiction: Mónica López (for Rapaa Movistar+)
  • Best Documentary or Documentary Series: How to hunt a monster (from Carles Tamayo, to Prime Video) i you are not alone (Netflix)

The call also includes three music awards:

  • In the career: Estopa and Los chicos (for 50 years of career)
  • Musical phenomenon of the year: Geneva
  • Best show, tour or festival: Telefonica 100 Live
  • Manuel Alejandro also took home a special award.

Finally, the Ondas Internacional de Ràdio prize has gone to Estamos en guerra, the essay is cancelled, and its look at , while the Internacional de Televisió has gone to Siete invieros en Teherán.

This edition had 527 entries, coming from up to 15 different countries in Europe, North America, South America and Asia. Winners receive an iconic statue representing a bronze pegasus weighing 4.2 kilos. The gala will be held at the Liceu next November 14, coinciding with the day of the first radio broadcast in the State, made by Ràdio Barcelona.
