What the hell was that last week?
Just when I think I have some momentum NFL gamesHere are 5-11 week sports bets against the spread. The first place in our experts’ choices has disappeared. They are also now under .500 with a record of 51-53-3.
It got messed up fast.
My straight picks were better at 8-7 to push my record to 59-48 on the season, but the ATS week frustrated me.
I feel like this week is tough, which means I have to do well because last week I liked my choices and we saw what happened.
Let’s get back on track. Things couldn’t be worse.

Thursday, 8:15pm ET (Prime Video)
The Vikings are coming off their first loss and the defense struggled against the Lions. The Rams dominated the Raiders’ offense last week, but this is a much tougher challenge. Look for the Vikings to get back on track here on both sides of the ball. The Vikings get it because Sam Darnold is playing well.

Domenica, 1:00 p.m. ET (CBS, Fundamental+)
The Ravens are playing their second straight game on the road and will do so on a short week. Does it matter? The way the offense is playing and the way Cleveland’s offense is struggling, that’s not going to happen. Jameis Winston will likely start for the Browns, but he won’t be able to keep up with the Ravens and Lamar Jackson.
He chooses: Ravens 31, Brown 17

Sunday at 1pm ET (Volpe, Fubo free trial)
The Giants are on the road for the second straight week. Their intermediate position remains fragile. This is not a good thing when facing a team with an offensive attack like the Lions. It will be difficult to continue in Tennessee. The Lions continue to put up big numbers in a big win while Jared Goff will still be hot.
He chooses: Lions 33, Titans 17
Domenica, 1:00 p.m. ET (CBS, Fundamental+)
This is actually for first place in the division. The Colts haven’t played well and have played a poor schedule, but they are 4-3. As? Anthony Richardson struggled to throw the ball, which is a problem. The Texans suffered a tough loss to the Packers on the road where the offense struggled. This will change here. The Texans return to the attack.

The Jaguars return home after two games in London. But this Packers team is a big step up from the Patriots team they beat last week. The Packers face the Lions next week, so they can look ahead. But it doesn’t matter. Jordan Love will light up a Jacksonville secondary that can’t slow anyone down.

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa appears to be back in action after missing time due to concussion issues. This should begin an attack that has been struggling. The Cardinals play on the road a week after their win over the Chargers on Monday night. This is a difficult situation, made worse by the return of Tagovailoa. The Dolphins win by blowout.

New York Jets (-7) contro i New England Patriots
Domenica, 1:00 p.m. ET (CBS, Fundamental+)
The Patriots returned home after losing to the Jaguars in London. The defense had major issues in that game, which is why Aaron Rodgers and the Jets offense can get here against that unit. Look for the Jets to get big performances from Rodgers and Breece Hall as they sweep New England.
He chooses: Jets 31, Patriots 14

The Bucs will play a short week and will be without both injured receivers Chris Godwin and Mike Evans. This will really test the offense. The defense also had a terrible performance against the Ravens on Monday night. But I think the defense will respond. The unit would limit Kirk Cousins and the Falcons’ offense and win a difficult game.

Domenica, 1:00 p.m. ET (CBS, Fundamental+)
Both teams seem to have gotten things right since their slow starts. The Eagles play back-to-back games on the road, which will be a challenge after winning their sectional game last week. Philadelphia’s defense will be tested by Joe Burrow and the passing game. Look for Burrow to have a great day. The Bengals would even put it on their record.

The Saints are a mess right now. Injuries have ruined the team. Derek Carr will probably come out again in this movie, which is a problem. The Chargers are hurt at receiver, but that will have to do with their running game. Here too the defense can lead them to victory. They recovered from the defeat on Monday night.

This is a long and difficult journey for the Biles. Seattle can score on anyone, which will pose a challenge for Buffalo’s defense. But I think the Bills offense will really make things work here. Look for plenty of points as the Bills take the win thanks to Josh Allen’s late pass.

Domenica, 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS, Fundamental+)
This should have been the game that highlighted pick #1. 2024 No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams of the Bears vs. No. 1 overall pick. 2 overall Jayden Daniels of the Leaders. But Daniels has a rib injury and his availability is in doubt. That means Marcus Mariota will start. Without Daniels, the choice is up to the Bears because they have a better defense. Williams will continue to show improvement.
He chooses: Bears 24, Leaders 20
Domenica, 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS, Fundamental+)
The Panthers are playing back-to-back road games and haven’t played well over the last month. The Broncos played well picking up the Saints offense Thursday night, so they’ll get some rest. Look for Denver’s defense and running game to win this game easily for the Broncos.

Domenica, 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS, Fundamental+)
The Chiefs are on the road for the second straight week, but the Raiders have injury concerns at quarterback. Gardner Minshew, who was on the bench two weeks ago, returns to the starting lineup in place of the injured Aidan O’Connell. Minshew will struggle against this good Chiefs defense. Kansas City’s offense will do enough to earn a hard-fought win on the road.
He chooses: Capi 24, Raider 10
Sunday, 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC, Fubo try for free)
The Cowboys are coming off a bye, while the 49ers with all their injuries need it. This San Francisco team is a disaster. The Cowboys were eliminated last time out, while the 49ers lost at home to the Chiefs. It will be a game in which the 49ers defense will have to rise up and win.

Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET (ESPN/ABC, Fubo free trial)
Russell Wilson makes his second start after winning his first Sunday night and faces a struggling team. He is the perfect opponent to keep him undefeated. The Giants have offensive problems that the Steelers will exploit. Wilson will go 2-0 with the Steelers ahead.
