Since the formation of Salesians Sports Club three seasons ago, dedicated to training, fun and instilling the human values that the Salesian house supports, this year a step forward has been taken with the creation of two federated teams, a senior in the futsal section and a junior first year in the basketball section.
In addition, numerous teams continue to be maintained from cherubs, benjamins and juveniles that will play in the School Games of futsal and basketball. And we also continue to have the judo, skating and gymnastics section for adults.
The Club Deportivo Salesianos Pinturas Navarro Jordán basketball team begins its journey in the 2nd zonal category, being the first time that Villena has a basketball team in the federated junior category.
At the controls of the team is Francisco Javier Martíneza coach with extensive experience in training boys and girls, who after passing through Almansa returns to what was his home, the Salesian school, with the intention of continuing to improve our players from the grassroots.
After several friendly matches We start the season this week with a double helping of gamesOn Friday afternoon at 6:30 p.m. at the Salesiano School we faced “Onil B” in our debut in this new world of the federation. On Saturday we went to Bañeres to face the team from that city at 11:00 in the morning.
