Governor Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros witnessed all the competitions of the Tlaxcala 2024 Archery World Cup Final, World Archery México (Wamex), where the Mexican archers Dafne Quintero and Alejandra Valencia obtained third place; in compound and recurve bow, respectively.

With a full house in the temporary stadium set up in front of the Government Palace, in the Plaza de la Constitución in the state capital, hundreds of Tlaxcalans lived with great euphoria the sessions of the men’s and women’s compound bow, and women’s and men’s recurve bow, where There was no shortage of cheers and applause.

The matches took place in an atmosphere of excitement and adrenaline, in which the spectators cheered on the archers and remained silent during each shot of arrows. The archery festival was also felt in the FanFest area, where families, local and foreign visitors enjoyed the various activities, the gastronomy offered by local cafes and restaurants, and had a pleasant time watching the presentations of local artists.

Alan Vigueras Salgado, representative of the Trayecto 3 “Culture for Inclusion and Development” school, in which different types of dance, taekwondo, gymnastics and other disciplines are learned, thanked the authorities for opening these spaces that motivate Tlaxcalteca talents to continue developing their passion.

“We have a cultural sports center with different workshops, but today taekwondo and Polynesian dance were presented, and the truth is that we are very happy because those who participated had the opportunity to be present at an event of international stature and thus highlight the culture and sport,” he indicated.

At the end of the games, the athletes offered interviews where they thanked the fans for their encouragement and good energy. They also took photographs outside the square with the people who were waiting for them and gave some autographs.

The Mexican goalkeeper, only 20 years old, Matías Grande, pointed out that “the logistics were very good, nothing bad happened, we were covered and they have provided us with the necessary security, which is seen in few international competitions, we were very safe and we do not have “Nothing to complain about, in any way.”
