Anthony Dumarey has no doubts about his performance

The future mayor will only respond in writing. “It is probably no coincidence that these matters came out shortly after the municipal elections, during which I gained the trust of the citizens. I leave the leaks at the expense of those involved, but would like to point out that such matters should not be shared,” said Dumarey.

“I will always respond if official bodies ask me to, but I am not allowed to publicly comment on substantive details from the audit. “I have always properly left the municipal council and aldermen when it came to my personal real estate files, so that there would be no conflict of interest,” he says. “In addition, the recommendations from the audit have all been correctly followed and implemented.”

“I remain active with my real estate organization Residentie Vastgoed,” says Dumarey. Residentie Vastgoed is the commercial name of Dumarey’s real estate company. “Residentie Vastgoed will not purchase or develop any new projects in Oudenburg. We will also not offer for sale new construction projects from other promoters located in Oudenburg.”

“Even before the elections, I already indicated that I will not handle spatial files as mayor in the coming years,” concludes Dumarey. “I have always tried to separate my work in the real estate sector from my position as mayor, and I will continue to do so. in the coming years with conviction.”
