This announcement follows the events of the 8th day of Ligue 1 last weekend with the presence of numerous homophobic chants at the Parc des Princes during the victory of the capital club against Strasbourg on Saturday evening (4-2).
Named ticketing for individual sanctioning
“The request that was made to the Professional Football League (LFP) and the French Football Federation (FFF) in general is to strictly apply: suspension, interruption of the match and stoppage,” specified Gil Avérous . Raised on the question of the consequences of potential homophobic chants during the clasico this Sunday evening, Gil Avérous explained that the match will be “stopped and lost for the home team”. “It’s very clear, and it was very well heard by the LFP,” he concluded.

All other Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 clubs will be affected by this reform “during 2025”, but “at the latest at the end of the sports season”.
