Dominic Stricker (ATP 258) will not repeat his 2023 course at the Swiss Indoors. Quarter-finalist last year, the Bernese fell in the second round.
The left-hander lost 6-3 7-6 (7/2) to Holger Rune (14), finalist of the tournament in 2022. Still too “tender” against such a player, Dominic Stricker let a second set slip away which held out his arms to him. He, in fact, led 5-2 before losing 7/2.
A quarter-finalist last week in Stockholm, the Bernese is however on the path to renewal after having suffered from back pain for a long time and having begun a very laborious return to the courts in June.
