The Newport Tennis Hall of Fame announced today that Maria Sharapova and brother Brian have been inducted into the Class of 2025.

Russian Sharapova won a total of 36 titles during her career, five of which were Grand Slam titles. She is also one of 10 players to have won all four major tournaments at least once.

Sharapova reacted very quickly to this news. “After retirement, there is no time to think about the past because other responsibilities come with it. I am grateful for this amazing recognition. Thank you to the Hall of Fame and the voters.”

The Tennis Hall of Fame also announced that the Brian brothers, Bob and Mike Brian, will be inducted into this class. They have won 119 doubles titles, 16 of which were Grand Slam titles.

The event’s weekend ritual is scheduled to take place August 21-23, 2025.
