The Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport today announced the induction of Maria Sharapova and the Bryan brothers into the Class of 2025.
The Russian has won 36 titles during her career, including five Grand Slam tournaments. She also belongs to the closed circle of ten players who have won all four major tournaments at least once.
Sharapova reacted very quickly to the news: “When you’re retired, you don’t really think about the past because life comes with other responsibilities. This is an incredible recognition. Thank you to the Hall of Fame and the voters.”
The Tennis Hall of Fame revealed that brothers Bob and Mike Bryan (119 doubles titles, including 16 Grand Slam titles) will also be inducted into the Hall of Fame in this class.
The ceremony weekend will take place August 21-23, 2025.
