After golf, judo. Melkia Auchecornefrom the Judo Club of Chelles, succeeded Margaux Bréjogolfer from Fontainebleau, on the list of of the Trophy of Hope of Seine-et-Marne 2024. The awards ceremony took place on October 10 at Chessy.

Created in 1991 by the Melunais foilist Bernard Talvardtriple bronze medalist at the Olympic Games in Munich (1972) and Montreal (1976), this competition rewards the best sporting prospects in the department. Laura Manaudou even appeared on the prize list, honored when she swam under the colors of the Melun Val de Seine Swimmers’ Circle.

Double junior world champion

This year, nine athletes were in the running and it was the Chelles judo and Torcy canoe clubs that shone. The trophy, in fact, went to Chelloise judoka Melkia Auchecorne. Double junior world champion in the under 63 kg category (she retained her title at the beginning of the month by winning in Tajikistan), 3e European junior championships and French 1st division champion among seniors: the track record of this political science student 20 years old is already impressive.

His runner-up is the Torcean canoeist Camille Brugvin. Bronze and silver medalist at the U18 world championships in team kayaking and canoe slalom, she is preparing to compete in the French U15 and U18 slalom championships at the Vaires-sur-Marne nautical stadium from October 28 to November 1 .

The seven other young athletes present at this ceremony were Maël Dijoux (swimming/Melun), Yonis Laadili (wrestling/Coulommiers), Thomas Klemz (karate/Crécy-la-Chapelle), Kevin Nzuzi Diasivi (judo/Melun), Antoine Derlot (orienteering/Montigny-sur- Loing), Amélie Bescond (roller skating/Avon) and Shadé Laporal (athletics/Torcy).
