Udinese won at home against promoted Cagliari while Torino were hot against Cesc Fabregas’ club, Como.
At the opening of the 9th day of the Italian championship, Udinese reassured itself against Cagliari (2-0) after losing three of its last four matches. Florian Thauvin’s (injured) teammates were in numerical superiority for 70 minutes which allowed them to easily win against one of this season’s promoted players.
In the second match of the evening, Torino trembled against a Como team that was much more dangerous than the Turin team. Against the run of play, Alieu Njie gave the victory for his team a quarter of an hour from the end of the match. Cesc Fabregas’ players can have big regrets in view of the statistics which should have given them victory. But due to a lack of opportunism and facing a Milinkovic-Savic in great form in the Torino cages, The Blues failed to leave Piedmont victorious.
In the standings, both teams are doing very well, Udinese moves up to fourth place while Torino finds itself sixth while waiting for the other matches of the weekend.
