Flamengo Faces Last-Minute Setbacks: Key Players Absent for Crucial Match Against Juventude

Flamengo announced this Friday afternoon (25) two more absences with an eye on the clash with Juventude, on Saturday (26), for the Brazilian Championship. These are Alex Sandro and Carlinhos. The athletes have physical problems and were not included in the Rubro-Negro related list.

According to Flamengo, Alex Sandro did not recover in time from discomfort in the back of his right thigh, suffered in a game against Corinthians, in the Copa do Brasil. Furthermore, Carlinhos suffered an injury to his right adductor and is also unable to be selected for the game against Juventude.

For this reason, Flamengo has seven absences for the game against Juventude. They are: Pedro, Cebolinha, Luiz Araújo, Viña, De La Cruz, Alex Sandro and Carlinhos. Therefore, Filipe Luís promises changes to the starting lineup this Saturday (26), for the Brasileirão.

AYRTON LUCAS SHOULD BE THE HOLDER

With the absence of Alex Sandro, Ayrton Lucas should assume the position on the left flank. It is worth remembering that the last time the athlete started among the starters he scored against Bahia, in the Brazilian Championship. On that occasion, Rubro-Negro won 2-0, at Arena Fonte Nova.
