The road season is over, but Mathieu van der Poel will still get his bike out of the stable this weekend. The Dutchman from Alpecin-Deceuninck will participate in the La Nucia International Cycling Criterium in Spain.

Toppers at the start
Mathieu van der Poel does not only attract the BeNeLux people. After all, the Dutchman is the big name at the La Nucia International Cycling Criterium, a two-day cycling festival in Spain. Sunday will MVDP participating in the Gran Fondo la Nucia together with teammate Gianni Vermeersch.
In addition to the two Alpecin riders, the organization of the event was also able to attract some big names such as Pablo Castrillo, Urko Berrade and Oscar Rodriguez. But some top players from the past will also be at the start. Just think of Alejandro Valverde and Oscar Sevllia.

In addition, there is also a elimination race and a points race on the program in Spain, but the big names will not participate in that.
Van der Poel will then effectively use his holiday period, if this was not already the case. Afterwards, it remains to be seen when the Dutchman will make his debut in the field, if he already plans to do so.
