A fairy tale for the moment without a future. After playing his very first NBA game alongside his father LeBron on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, Bronny James will continue his development outside of the Los Angeles Lakers first team. The 20-year-old young player will indeed play in the G-League this season, a sort of antechamber of the prestigious North American league, according to information from ESPN.
He should indeed wear the colors of the South Bay franchise, located in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Bronny James, who did not play during his team’s spectacular victory against Phoenix on the night of Friday to Saturday (123-116), will stay with the Lakers for some time before the start of the G-League season, scheduled for November 9. He will then split his time between the two franchises.
“This proposed transfer of Bronny between the Lakers and South Bay has been planned since day one,” coach JJ Redick said Friday. “I look forward to seeing him continue to progress, whether here with us or with the G League team,” said LeBron James, who became the first basketball player in NBA history to play with his son.
