Bundesliga 8th matchday – Saturday: Augsburg wins against Dortmund, Leipzig clearly wins over Freiburg

VfB Stuttgart – Holstein Kiel 2:1 (1:0)

In the Saturday match of the eighth Bundesliga match day, VfB Stuttgart won against Holstein Kiel. Three days after the 1-0 win in the Champions League at Juventus Turin, coach Sebastian Hoeneß’s team won 2-1 (1-0) against newly promoted Kiel.

Deniz Undav (19th minute) and El Bilal Touré (61st) scored the goals for VfB. Shortly afterwards, her teammate Jeff Chabot received a yellow-red card in the 66th minute. Armin Gigović (84th) scored the first goal for Kiel, shortly afterwards his teammate Fiete Arp also had to leave the pitch after a yellow-red card.

RB Leipzig – SC Freiburg 3:1 (0:1)

FC Augsburg – Borussia Dortmund 2:1 (1:1)

BVB lost 1:2 (1:1) at FC Augsburg. Shortly after kick-off, Donyell Malen (4th) scored the opening goal for Dortmund. FC Augsburg first equalized and later took the lead through Alexis Claude-Maurice (25th + 50th). Dortmund’s Almugera Kabar received a yellow-red card in stoppage time (90th + 9th).

FC St. Pauli – VfL Wolfsburg 0:0 (0:0)

FC St. Pauli and VfL Wolfsburg were drawn after five minutes of added time. This means St. Pauli is in relegation place.
