Stade Rochelais Basket had to wait until the 6th day of Betclic Élite to achieve the very first victory in its history in the first division. Julien Cortey‘s men, bottom before this Saturday with five defeats in five matches, won on the JDA floor (95-88) thanks to 24 points from leader Samuel Sessoms (24 years old, 1.83 m) and to the good score coming off the bench from Tyler Cheese (21 points).
Leading by 13 points in the 3rd quarter, the Rochelais scared themselves by letting Dijon come back to the level in the last act. But buoyed by their team, the Maritimes finally regained the upper hand to win 95-88.
