INDIANAPOLIS — The running back for the Indianapolis Colts, Jonathan Taylorwill return to the lineup on sunday after missing three games for a ankle sprain.

He participated fully on Thursday and Friday after practicing on a limited basis Wednesday.

Before this week, Taylor had not practiced since suffering the injury in one victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4. Colts experienced difficulties to run the ball in his absence, averaging 89.6 rushing yards during the Weeks 5 and 6. The return of the quarterback of doble threat Anthony Richardson of his own absence of two games last week gave the running game a boost, with the Colts posting a season-high 155 yards rushing behind Richardson’s 56 yards on the ground. Now, the Taylor’s return gives Colts another chance to establishr the potent running attack they hoped to have with the combined efforts of Richardson and Taylor, who have shared the backfield for fewer than four full games since Richardson was drafted last season due to their respective injuries.

In four games this season, Taylor averages 87.3 yards per game with four touchdowns and 11 explosive runs, defined as 10 yards or more.

“It felt great to finally be out there because you were in the training room,” Taylor said this week. “It’s a great place, but that’s not really where you want to be.”

The defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, who missed five games due to his own sprained ankle, He trained this week and is considered questionable for the game. He was activated from injured reserve on Saturday.
