Fluminense was beaten by Vitória 2-1, this Saturday (10/26), in a game valid for the 31st round of the Brazilian Championship, at Barradão. With the result, Tricolor continues with 36 points on the leaderboard.

The team led by Mano Menezes returns to the field next Friday (01/11) to face Grêmio, in a game valid for the 32nd round of the Brazilian Championship. The match will be at 9pm, at Maracanã.

FIRST HALF

After a start with few opportunities and greater possession of the opponent’s ball, Fluminense managed to attack more frequently in the second half of the first half and created good chances to score. In the 12th minute, Jhon Arias received the ball in the small area and was stopped as he finished. At 23, Kauã Elias advanced from the right and finished low to save the goalkeeper. In the 36th minute, Samuel Xavier crossed, Diogo Barbosa supported it and Arias headed it, but it stopped at the goalkeeper.

Tricolor almost found the net in the 40th minute. Lima received it from Kauã Elias and shot on goal. The goalkeeper palmed it and the ball hit the post. At 45, the opponent opened the scoring.

SECOND HALF

Fluminense returned from the break commanding offensive actions and willing to tie the match. After four minutes, Kauã Elias finished, the goalkeeper blocked it and the opposing defense sent it to the corner. At nine, Kauã Elias shot towards the goal after a pass from Jhon Arias, the ball deflected off the defender and went wide of the post.

At 15 minutes, Fluminense equalized the match. After a cross in the area, the ball fell to Martinelli, who shot hard at the crossbar. On the way back, the ball hit the goalkeeper’s back and went in. After the draw, the game became more heated and Tricolor were unable to create any more dangerous chances. At 46, Vitória scored the second goal.
