The Mexican archer Dafne Quintero García shone in the Final of the Archery World Cup 2024, held in Tlaxcalaupon obtaining the Bronze Medal in the modality women’s compound bow.
The current Pan American and Central American champion replicated his performance Hermosillo 2023, consolidating its position as one of the great exponents of its discipline in Mexico.
The road to the podium began with a victory in the Quarterfinals on the British Ella Gibson, number one in the world rankingwhom he beat by mark of 144-143. However, in the Semifinals, Quintero faced the Estonian Meeri Paas, falling with a marker 144-147.
The duel for bronze was a confrontation between Mexicans, where Quintero faced his compatriot Maya Becerra. In a close competition, Quintero secured the medal with a score of 146-145delivering to Mexico his eleventh medal in the history of this competition.
For its part, the Colombian Sara Lopez was crowned champion for the ninth time in a World Cup Final, consolidating herself as the top winner of this tournament, while Meeri Paas took the silver medal.
