” Three black belts suddenly! It’s not often that this happens,” enthuses Julien Nabarra, professor at club du judo jujitsu of Langon (Gironde).

Three young graduates, the Potard brothers, Mathys, 15 years old, and Enzo, 16 years old, as well as Arnaud Darras, 19 years old, received their black belt 1is AND.

Enzo and Mathys Potard started judo at Nice. They obtained very good results in the departmental and regional championships, in junior and junior classes.

As a cadet, Enzo is 5e au French championship of 2e division. Mathys participated in the French hopeful championship.

“Our goal is to be in the top 10 to participate in the French championship,” add Mathys and Enzo.

They also participated in an excellence tournament at Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme).

Mathys achieved a great performance by finishing 5e in – 60 kg.

“I want to be a judo teacher”

Arnaud Darras, in the – 55 kg category, joined the judo club in 2023 to improve and obtain his 1is AND.

He is an apprentice, alternating training at the club and at the Stade Langonnais clubhouse where he is preparing his Professional Certificate in Youth, Popular Education and Sport, mentioning Physical Activities for All (BPJEPS APT).

“My goal is BPJEPS Judo. I wish to be judo teacher. I like to pass on what I have learned to young brown belts,” confides Arnaud. “He is very invested in the club, in all the courses,” emphasizes Julien Nabarra.
