From yesterday until Wednesday, October 30, a microcycle will be held in Medellín with the Colombian U-15 women’s basketball team, with a view to choosing the best team for what will be the South American Basketball Championship, to be held from October 4 to 10. November 2024, in the city of Barquisimeto, Venezuela.
Among the 22 called by the Colombian Basketball Federation there is one from Huila. This is Danna Valentina Suárez Barrera, who spoke with LA NACIÓN and told her expectations about this call to the Colombian team.
“I feel very happy about this call to the Colombian team, more than chosen I feel that I have an enormous responsibility and the idea is to leave the name of my department of Huila at the top”, he stressed.
“I know it won’t be easy because the best athletes in Colombia are named, but I am going to give my best, so that they know me and choose me from the team that will travel to Venezuela. “I hope I can fulfill my dream of being able to play in this international tournament,” Suárez Barrera complemented.
Once the microcycle is over, the 12 players who will be on Venezuelan soil will be known.
