British Draper wins Vienna tennis tournament

Draper defeated his opponent with authority in just over an hour of play with sets of 6-4, 7-5 to become champion of the Austrian tournament that has been held since 1974 at the Wiener Stadthalle.

80 percent of points won with the first serve and six aces were the main tools for the British victory.

After a first set with total dominance, in the second the Russian after a 1-4 disadvantage managed to put the game at 5-5 but Draper resumed his effectiveness to win the crown.

Winner this year in Stuttgart and semifinalist in the Grand Slam of the United States Open, the young number 18 on the list of the Association of Professional Tennis Players had defeated the Italian Lorenzo Musetti in the semifinals with scores of 6-2 and 6-4.
