Back to May 2023. Two youth players, a 9-year-old girl and her 11-year-old brother, are told that they are no longer welcome at Sporting Hasselt for the next season. This has to do with a protest action in which the parents took part. They are said to have participated in shouting matches and other outbursts, and to have created a negative atmosphere in the youth work. According to the regulations, the children can be excluded as a result.
