In Mende, a promising recovery for SOM Badminton

First big weekend of resumption of tournaments for Millavois SOM Badminton competitors. For this first meeting, 15 players traveled to Lozère, to Mende.

On Saturday, singles and mixed doubles took place and several players shone.

In mixed, Alexandra Blanc et Aurélien Champagnol (vacation player at SOM Badminton) won series 6 of the mixed doubles, while Clementine Levi et Fabrice Raynal finished in second place in series 3. Sarah et Jean-Claude Morceau (series 6), as well as Jérôme Chabert and his partner from Marvejols (series 1), did not manage to get out of their group.

In simple, Axel Chabert wins in series 4. The other singles players unfortunately did not make it out of the group: Florent Guibert et Adrien Dupont in series 4, Pablo Jimenez in series 2, and Jean-Baptiste Conan in series 1.

The men’s doubles took place on Sunday. No female players were entered this weekend, but several male pairs participated.

In series 6, two pairs from Millau stopped in the semi-finals after close matches: Axel Chabert et Florent Guibertas well asErwann Bernier et Jean-Claude Morceau.

In series 3, Jean-Baptiste Conan et Leonard Tomans finished in second place.

The other players did not make it out of the group: Christmas Chayrigues et Malik Laborie in series 6; Fabrice Raynal et Pablo Jimenez in series 4; Jérôme Chabert and his partner Florian de Rodez in series 2.

It’s therefore a great recovery for the Millavois after the summer break from competitions!

On the program

The club remains very active. During the second week of the vacation, he organizes two days of training with a coach: one day for young people and one day for adults. In addition, the club will host the second day of the Departmental Youth Circuit on November 10. Finally, on November 17, the two SOM teams will resume the departmental interclub championship.
