Good performances for the athletes of Judo Olimpic Asti at the European Cadet Cup and in the Italian A2 Cup

Double trip for the athletes of Judo Olimpic Asti asd engaged on Saturday and Sunday in two important competitions.

A stage of the European Cadet Cup took place on Saturday in Koper (Slovenia) which saw Ginevra Aloise making her more than satisfactory debut in the new category.
Ginevra won well in the first fight against an Austrian athlete, in the quarterfinals she faced a strong French athlete with whom she played on equal terms but unfortunately lost following a controversial action. In repechage she won clearly against a Croatian athlete and in the following match she won again by waza-ari against a Swiss athlete. She then entered the 3rd/5th place final where she faced a Croatian athlete on equal terms but unfortunately was defeated.
However, Geneva Aloise performed well, achieving an excellent placing in a test on the European Cup circuit.

On Sunday, however, the A2 finals of the A2 Junior/Senior Italian Cup took place in Lignano Sabbiadoro (UD), involving Greta Surian who placed 9th.
A bit of regret, because after starting well by winning the first match for Ippon, in the second she was defeated following a slight. Unfortunately she wasn’t fished out and her race had to be stopped.
Overall good performances from both athletes and we are starting to see the fruits of the hard work.
